Discord server configuration (/settings)
There are a couple of server-specific configuration options under the Discord /settings command.
Each configuration value can be shown using /settings view <name>.
To change the value, use /settings set <name> <value>.
Required settings:
- Manager Role - the Discord role to oversee all tickets. Users with this role are considered bot “admins” and can perform most tasks.
- Freelancer Role - the freelancer role who see commission tickets come in, and are able to send quotes on them. They can also set their profile metadata, like bio, portfolio link and others. Once configured, this role is also added to the users accepted in an application ticket.
- Commission Log Channel - the channel where commission logs are sent. This channel is required (unless specific service channels are set), for freelancers to be able to send quotes. If no channel is set up, commissions will not be visible to anyone, but the managers and the creating user.
Optional settings:
- Reviews Channel - Discord channel for sending customer reviews. Can (and probably should) be public to @everyone.
- Admin Logging Channel - self-explanatory. Universal admin logs for closed tickets with transcripts, created applications and more. Optional, but recommended. Should be made explicitly private.
- Client Role - this role is to be added once a customer pays. This role basically means “paying customer”.
- Withdrawals Channel - the channel where freelancer money withdrawals are to be logged to managers. They can be accepted or denied. If not configured, withdrawing will be disabled.
- Commissions, Applications and Support Categories - for organizing ticket channels into respective Discord channel categories.
- Archived Category - if the global bot config has ticket archive action set to categorize, this will be category to move archived tickets into.
- Quotes Category - if the global bot config has quotesInChannels set to true, this will be the category for quote channels.
